#014 Ketsoooul?

Some pages are a learning experience. I get a nice cinematic image in my mind and I go with it. Sometimes I realize it’s not going to work out as well as I’d hopes in the thumbnail phase. Sometimes, though, I get all the way to the lettering before going, “Oh, that’s right – when film makers pick a camera angle, they don’t have to worry about if the text boxes will fit into the frame or not.” In the end, I do like this page, but I highly doubt I’ll be framing in my edges with foreground elements like that again, unless I set the characters up in such a way that their text boxes can gracefully overlap those stationary elements and not get jammed up in the middle like that.

And by now I’m betting there’s a number of you going, “It looks FINE, move along!”
