#040 Noisy Wedding

Made up languages are haaaard!

I complain about this, but at the same time, there’s a part of me that wishes I could work in even more of the made up language. XD I highly suspect that I’m much more entertained by it than anyone else though.

This little wedding song here is ridiculous. Completely and utterly. I can’t write songs and poems on a regular basis, so I have no idea what possessed me to decide to write up even a single line of a song in a made up language. The advantage, at least, is that I got to make up two words the rhymed and make them mean whatever the heck I wanted them to mean.

Roughly, this song translates to “Hello, happiness! I will name you love!” The literal translation of these words though would be, “Hello to happy! I name give love!” Because I could. Incidentally, some may recall that Lisk-tay is the name of Kets’zual’s village, and his people are called the Os’lisk. This means that, roughly translated, they live in Happy Land and they are the Happy People. Kets reassures me that it all sounds not so cheesy in his language and cultural context. 😉
