#045 Howdy

Meet the Great Na-Rune-Tok Mair’alyn!

Sonya is to be commended for this page. I am failing. So. Hard. I was behind in the first place, then that top panel killed me, I had to redraw half of it when I messed up my inks on the first run and I just generally fought with the whole thing this whole week. I finally got this page with all its inks and flats over to Sonya at 3:00PM yesterday. She had it all cranked out and ready to post before bedtime, and she did that while running on about four hours of sleep. All this and she never yelled at me once for it. She’s a trooper.

All of that said, I’m outlining plans for the New Year and ways to keep this kind of thing from happening. And by that, I mean actually getting up a buffer of pages again so where is no last-second scramble like this. I’ll be spending the last few weeks of this month cranking out a new line of storyboards for the rest of this bit, and hopefully on to the end of this chapter.

I say this all too often, but thank you all for coming with us on this crazy learning experience we call The Lost Island of the Na-Rune-Tok. Our future endeavors will not be this chaotic. Mostly because this one is and we shall be wiser about many things on the next run. Not that this is a bad comic, there are just easier ways to do all this, we’re sure. XD;
