#059 One Track Mind
Na-Rune-Tok Mair’alyn was originally imagined as a young, perky, cheerleader type of girl. I still believe that’s who she was, when she first washed up on the island. Somewhere along the way in our planning, we thought it would be better to make her an elder instead. It’s added a lot more personality to her in the end, not to mention some nice plot points that will come up. She became a part of the island’s world, instead of a weird, cliche, throw-away character she started out being. This bit of dialog, however, has carried over from those early days of her development. I thought it was an even better conversation coming from her now, a nice mixed bag of sagely advice and party-girl spirit.
