#062 Are You Excited?

As I believe I stated before, Sister and Joe’s roles were horribly underplayed in the first draft of the script. Namai’sal’s most shining moment was cut along with an unneeded character, and Joe seriously spent the whole first draft being called “the warrior” and he had little to no dialog. It’s only on this second run that we’re getting the chance to flesh them out properly and make sure they get enough coverage. Hence the first page so far that doesn’t involve June at all! It felt a little weird to me at first, but then I reminded myself that we didn’t set out to create a first-person limited narration in this tale. We can drift into third-person omnipresent narration. Which are geeky writer terms with may not actually completely apply to the situation when it comes to comics, but bah! I’m using them anyway!
