#067 Pet Names

This was the plan for how Balachjah-oh would get his nickname of Joe from the start. Of course, in the start of planning, we didn’t know what June’s power would be for some time, and Joe himself wasn’t much of a developed character. So in the rough first run, Joe didn’t even speak English. As things unfolded, however, it made more sense for him to be related to Mair’alyn and to be a guardian himself. Even with June’s ability to speak all languages making our lived a ton easier than the first run, we thought him speaking English from the start would really help with storyline.

Also, I tend to roll my eyes at the “so clumsy she falls into a man’s arms” cliche in general. However, this time, it’s not June’s fault. It’s Kets’zual’s for pushing her. XD This scene always made me laugh in the planning stages.
